About The Event
Life (in this incarnation anyway) is too short to postpone trying new things that have been on your mind for a while. It is scientifically proven that taking new activities boosts creativity, helps you get to know yourself better and, often, overcome fears.
Yoga is a wonderful philosophy, therapy, tool and exercise with countless benefits and a different meaning to each practitioner. Why not join this open air mindful yoga class to ground, rebalance, bring attention to the present moment and discover your personal challenges. Paddle boarding on the other hand is a great way to interact with nature in a very gentle and respectful manner. It is one of the most accessible water sports that brings you instant satisfaction and pure joy.
The organiser is a Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher who has introduced many beginners to paddle boarding. She is running open air yoga classes in Milton Keynes throughout summer 2023 and now she brings her two passions together onto the banks of River Great Ouse in Olney.
Where: River Great Ouse in Olney behind Olney Rugby Football Club and Cricket fields (parking available at Olney Rugby Football Club MK46 4DW or off-street - allow a 10-minutes walk from the parking to the river bank).
When: every Friday throughout summer, weather permitting* The yoga class will take place at 5:30 and last one hour. There will be opportunity to try paddle boarding any time between 4:30 and 5:30, if you want to reserve a specific 10 minutes spot within this timeframe please contact the organiser.
Agenda:
4:30 - 5:30 Opportunity to try a taster paddle boarding with instruction (10 minutes per participant)
5:30 - 6:30 Pranayama, Yoga and Guided Meditation
Price: £15 per person
Important: paddle board will be provided; you are also welcome to bring your own if you have one; a few yoga mats will be available but it is recommended to bring your own.
* In the event of a sudden weather change the activity will not take place. Please contact the organiser for a refund or to reschedule for another date.
